Reduction of Surface Wear in Dredging Industry

The dredging activity involves transport of sand-water mixture through steel pipeline. And the sand-water mixture comes in contact with the pipeline wall and other parts of the dredging equipment during transport. 

The mixture is highly abrasive and causes wear and tear of the equipment during operation. 

So abrasive wear of pipeline is very important in dredging industry. There is a requirement for better  wear rsistnce to avoid replace the pipe too frequently. So the haedfacing drege pipe is used more in the field , The overlay pipe is welding inside the steel pipe, When the mixture flow inside the drege pipe, less material will lost.
